Thankful for… Day 8

Thankful for the friends I have made over the last 33 years. Some of these friendships have lasted an entire lifetime for me, others have come and gone throughout the years, but all of them have touched my life in some form or fashion and I’m so happy to have met every single one of them. If someone can be judged by the company they keep, I think I’d score pretty high on that scale. Thanks everyone, for being awesome. ❤

Someday I’ll keep up with one of these!

And here I am again, messing with the blogging.  I don’t know why I feel the need to blog all the time, when I obviously never keep up with it, but I guess we’ll try again.  I’m truly going to try to post something each day, even if it’s just a picture (and let’s face it, most people would rather look at pictures than posts anyway!)

Well well well, it’s already happening….  I’m sitting here trying to think of something clever to write.

Our antique mall spot was a total bust, but that’s ok, because I learned a lesson about antique mall spots.  The little stuff rarely sells, and when it does, it’s not at even enough to break even when the store takes their cut and you consider how much you paid for it in the first place (oh yeah, and then you add rent for the booth into the equation).  So yesterday I pulled a bunch of stuff out with the plans to sell it in the garage sales coming up in our neighborhood, put everything else at 50% off, and I’ll be moving out at the end of my lease which is September 30.

Just got back from my hometown of Vinton, VA for a wedding of one of my best childhood friends.  The weather was gorgeous, the wedding was wonderful, and it was just a totally happy experience all around.  And so I shall leave you with a picture of the view I miss the most living in Texas now….
